vent.ly

What we know, and what we don’t.

Written by a person, not a lawyer.

When you vent to someone’s link

We don’t ask who you are and we don’t find out. We keep a scrambled code for your device for 30 days so we can block abuse. That code can’t be turned back into you, and the person you vented to never sees it.

When you post as your ghost

Other people see your ghost name only. We can see which account posted — we need that to remove abuse and to answer a court if one asks. We don’t sell it, show it, or use it for ads.

When you post as Nobody

We don’t attach it to your account at all. It’s not on your Me page and we can’t list it for you later.

When you add your pay

A number, a role, a city, a level. No employer, no name, no account link. Shown only once five people have added the same role in the same city.

Your email

Used to let you in and to send the alerts you turn on. Never shown. Never sold.

What we will never build

No “see who sent this”. No hints. No paid reveal. Not for money, not for anyone.

Ads

Ads run on public pages only. Never in your inbox, never where you write. Ad partners see the page, not you.
